Nella storia dell'arte l’attitudine dell’artista è sempre stata quella di ricreare luoghi e scenari reali e immaginari, traendo dal soggetto la linfa vitale per la propria creazione. Peculiarità pittoriche contemporanee italiane ed internazionali sono messe a confronto per una ricognizione sul tema, quale occasione per un’attenta indagine delle espressioni più attuali nel campo della pittura.

In mostra una serie di opere - tutte inedite - di artisti appartenenti alla stessa generazione che, seppur sviluppando poetiche autonome e differenti, durante il loro iter creativo affrontano il paesaggio in maniera puntuale ed inedita.

Andrea Di Marco predilige paesaggi urbani e ambientazioni comuni prive di figure umane ma in cui sono presenti chiare tracce del suo intervento. Scenari sospesi e metafisici dove l’assenza dell’uomo accentua il carattere fortemente straniante. Più intimi e meditativi i lavori proposti dal palermitano Francesco De Grandi, tele dalla forte ispirazione romantica in cui grandezza e ineludibile forza del creato si impongono sulla finitezza dell’uomo, spesso assente o ridotto a caricatura, maschera di se stesso. Klodin Erb, artista Svizzera, interpreta il tema secondo la sua cifra distintiva, un segno sicuro, libero e fortemente espressionista che ha la meglio sull’immediata riconoscibilità del soggetto - variazioni poetiche sul tema. Conclude la rassegna l’Austriaca Katrin Plavcak, autrice di opere eclettiche e convulse dal punto di vista tematico e compositivo; spaziando dall'astrattismo più intimo al paesaggio di fantasia, combina elementi eterogenei in composizioni dai toni fortemente surreali.

During the history of Art the artist’s attitude has always been to recreate views and places real and imaginary, being this subject the lifeblood for the artistic creation. Contemporary pictorial peculiarities, italian and international, are compared for a survey on this matter, as an opportunity for a careful investigation of the current expressions in painting.

On show a series of works – all of them inedited – by artists belonging to the same generation, although developing autonomous and different poetics, during their creative process they deal with the landscape in an accurate and original manner.

Andrea Di Marco prefers urban landscapes and common environments without human figures, but where there are clear traces of their presence. Suspended and metaphysical scenarios, where the absence of man emphasizes the strongly alienating character of them. More intimate and meditative the works proposed by Francesco De Grandi, paintings with a strong romantic inspiration where the greatness and inescapable force of creation dominate the finiteness of human being, often absent or reduced to a caricature, a mask of himself. Klodin Erb, Swiss artist, interprets the theme according to its distinctive feature, a bold, free and highly expressionist sign who gains the upper hand on the immediate recognition of the depicted subject - poetic variations on the theme. The Austrian Katrin Plavcak, author of eclectic and convulsive works both from a compositional and thematic point of view, concludes the exhibition; she moves freely from abstract painting to more intimate landscape of fantasy, combining heterogeneous elements in really surreal compositions.
